BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-15M-SW-BO InfiniBand optický kabel 15 m samec/samec

The BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-15M-SW-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 15m Male/Male is a 15‑metre active optical cable (AOC) with SFP28 connectors on both ends, designed for high‑speed short‑reach links in data centers and networking equipment. It supports 25G data rates using multi‑mode optical transmission and comprises integrated transmitter and receiver modules in the AOC assembly to carry optical signals over the dedicated cable length. The cable is intended for environments that require compact, low‑latency, high bandwidth interconnects between compatible SFP28 ports.

Advantages

The integrated AOC design eliminates the need for separate transceivers and patch cords, reducing connector points and improving signal consistency across the 15‑metre run. Using SFP28 Male/Male terminations ensures straightforward plug‑and‑play connection to devices with SFP28 ports. The multi‑mode optical link provides stable 25G performance for short‑reach applications while maintaining electrical isolation and low electromagnetic interference compared with copper alternatives.

Suitable for

• Short‑reach 25G links between switches, routers and servers in data centers
• High‑speed InfiniBand and Ethernet interconnects within rack and across adjacent racks
• Storage systems and SAN fabrics requiring SFP28 AOC connectivity
• Environments where low latency and minimized cabling footprint are priorities

Key specifications

• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC) with integrated transceiver modules
• Connector type: SFP28 Male to SFP28 Male
• Length: 15 metres
• Data rate: up to 25 Gbps per channel (25G class short‑reach)
• Fiber type: multi‑mode optical link suitable for short‑reach transmission
• Application: designed for short‑reach server, switch and storage interconnects

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on your devices until the latch engages. Ensure both endpoints support SFP28 AOC modules and that ports are enabled in device firmware or configuration. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius for AOC assemblies. No separate transceivers or fiber patching is required; the cable provides an integrated optical link for immediate data transmission once connected.

Recommendations

Verify compatibility with your hardware platform and firmware before deployment and test the link in a controlled environment when installing at scale. Avoid tight bends, excessive pulling force, and exposure to liquids or direct mechanical damage to preserve signal integrity and cable longevity.
