BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-15M-PA-BO InfiniBand optický kabel 15m samec/samec

The BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-15M-PA-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 15m Male/Male is a 15-meter active optical cable (AOC) with SFP28 connectors in a Male-to-Male configuration. Designed for 25G applications and built to the SFP28 MSA form factor, this multi-mode cable integrates transmitter and receiver modules on each end to enable high-speed optical data transmission over short reach distances. It is intended for use in data centres, network switches, routers and high-performance computing environments that support SFP28 AOC connections.

Advantages

The cable provides a single-cable solution for 25G interconnects, combining optical transceivers and fiber in a factory-assembled assembly that eliminates the need for separate transceivers and patch cords. Its integrated design reduces signal loss and simplifies rack cabling while supporting InfiniBand and Ethernet protocols at short reach. The 15 m length offers flexibility for rack-to-rack and intra-rack connections without intermediate connectors.

Suitable for

• Data centre switch-to-switch and switch-to-server links
• High-performance computing clusters requiring InfiniBand connectivity
• Storage systems and SAN interconnects using 25G links
• Environments where a compact, factory-terminated AOC reduces installation complexity

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 to SFP28 (Male/Male)
• Length: 15 meters
• Transmission mode: Active Optical Cable (AOC) with integrated transceivers
• Supported data rate: up to 25 Gbit/s per channel (25G class applications)
• Fiber type: multi-mode fiber (factory-assembled)
• Form factor compatibility: SFP28 MSA compliant

How to use

Insert each SFP28 module end into the corresponding SFP28 port on your networking equipment until it latches; ensure devices are powered down or follow hot-plug procedures recommended by the equipment vendor. Verify link status through device management interfaces and confirm the port is configured for the intended protocol (Ethernet or InfiniBand). No separate transceiver installation or patch cords are required; handle the cable by the connector housings and avoid sharp bends or kinks along the optical assembly.

Recommendations

Store and install the cable in a clean environment, maintain minimum bend radius as specified by the manufacturer, and avoid exposure to excessive tensile stress. Before deployment, confirm compatibility with the target hardware platform and verify firmware or port settings to ensure the SFP28 AOC is recognized and operating at the desired data rate.
