BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-15M-CN-BO InfiniBand/optický kabel 15 m samec/samec

The BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-15M-CN-BO is a 15 metre active optical cable (AOC) with SFP28 male connectors on both ends, designed for high-speed InfiniBand and 25G Ethernet links in data centre and networking environments. This fibre optic cable uses active transmitter and receiver modules integrated into the SFP28 end housings and is intended for multi-mode optical transmission over a 15 m length, providing a factory-terminated, low-latency connection between compatible SFP28 ports.

Advantages

This AOC provides a pre-terminated, plug-and-play duplex fibre connection that eliminates the need for separate transceivers and patch cords while maintaining electrical isolation and reduced electromagnetic interference compared with copper alternatives. With SFP28 male-to-male termination and active optics on both ends, the cable supports high data rates and long, stable runs within rack and row topologies. The integrated optical modules simplify installation and replacement and help ensure consistent signal performance across the full 15 m length.

Suitable for

• Interconnects between switches, routers and storage systems with SFP28 ports
• 25GBASE-SR4 and other 25G Ethernet or InfiniBand short-reach connections
• High-density rack and row cabling in data centres
• Low-latency links in storage area networks (SAN) or server clusters

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 male to SFP28 male
• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC) with integrated transceivers
• Length: 15 metres
• Supported data rates: up to 25 Gbit/s per lane (25G class applications)
• Transmission medium: multi-mode fibre (integrated)
• Use case: short-reach InfiniBand, 25G Ethernet and similar high-speed protocols

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into a compatible SFP28 port on networking equipment until it latches, ensuring the latch mechanism is engaged. Verify that the connected devices and firmware support SFP28 AOC modules and the intended 25G or InfiniBand protocol. After connection, check link indicators on both devices to confirm successful negotiation and stable link status. For removal, depress the connector latch and pull the module straight out to avoid stressing the cable or port.

Recommendations

Install the cable within recommended bend radius limits and secure it to avoid tension or sharp bends. Use the BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-15M-CN-BO in environments with compatible SFP28 ports and supported firmware; when deploying at scale, validate interoperability on a small number of ports before full rollout.
