SFP+ kabel CBO 2127931-3-BL 2m samec-samec 10 Gbit/s

SFP+ Cable CBO 2127931-3-BL 2m Male-to-Male 10 Gbit/s is a 2-metre direct-attach copper cable for short-range high-speed interconnects. It connects SFP+ ports on switches, servers and network appliances to provide a low-latency 10 Gbit/s link in data centre and enterprise rack environments. The compact male-to-male SFP+ connectors eliminate the need for separate transceivers and are intended for point-to-point links where distances are within the cable's reach.

Advantages

The cable offers a simple, cost-effective connection with low power consumption and minimal setup time. Its direct-attach design reduces component count and physical space compared with separate transceiver plus fibre assemblies. The 2 m length provides flexibility for rack-to-rack, top-of-rack to server, or short horizontal runs while maintaining consistent 10 Gbit/s throughput and low latency suitable for storage, virtualization and aggregation scenarios.

Suitable for

• Top-of-rack switch to server connections
• Rack-to-rack interconnects within the same equipment cabinet
• Direct links between switches and network appliances
• Short-distance high-speed uplinks and aggregation ports

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP+ male-to-male direct-attach
• Cable length: 2 metres
• Supported data rate: 10 Gbit/s
• Transmission medium: copper twinax direct-attach cable
• Typical application: short-range data centre and enterprise links
• Latency: low, suitable for time-sensitive traffic

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on your switch, server or network appliance until the latch engages. Ensure both devices support passive direct-attach SFP+ copper cables and are compatible with 10 Gbit/s operation. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical strain; maintain the recommended bend radius and secure the cable to prevent stress on the connectors. No additional transceivers or fibre patching are required.

Recommendations

Verify device compatibility and firmware support before installation. Use the 2 m SFP+ direct-attach cable for short, fixed links inside racks or between adjacent racks; for longer distances or fibre-based architectures, select optical transceivers with appropriate fibre cabling. Keep connectors clean and handle by the connector housing to avoid contamination and connector damage.
