SFP+ kabel CBO 2032237-4-BL 3 m samec-samec 10 Gbit/s

The BlueOptics SFP+ Cable CBO 2032237-4-BL is a 3 m direct-attach twinax cable with male-to-male SFP+ connectors supporting 10 Gbit/s. It is intended for short-range, high-speed interconnects between switches, servers and network interface cards that provide SFP+ ports. The cable delivers a low-latency, electrically connected link designed for rack-to-rack links, top-of-rack aggregation and storage network uplinks where optical transceivers are not required.

Advantages

This direct-attach SFP+ cable offers a compact, plug-and-play solution that eliminates the need for separate transceivers and optical patching for short distances. The 3 m length balances reach and cable management inside racks and server cabinets. Electrical twinax construction provides predictable latency and power efficiency compared with active optical options for similar short-range deployments.

Suitable for

• Short-range 10 Gbit/s connections between switches in the same rack or adjacent racks
• Server-to-switch links and NIC-to-switch direct connections
• Storage area network uplinks and access aggregation in data centres
• Environments where low latency and cost-effective cabling are priorities

Key specifications

• Interface: SFP+ male-to-male direct-attach cable
• Maximum data rate: 10 Gbit/s
• Length: 3 metres
• Cable type: passive twinax (electrical) suitable for short-range links
• Connector form factor: SFP+ compliant connectors at both ends

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on the devices to be linked until the retention latch engages. Ensure both network devices are powered down or support hot-plugging per their documentation before insertion or removal. After connection, verify link status in device management interfaces and configure port settings such as speed and duplex if required. For optimal performance, avoid tight bends and maintain a neat cable route within the rack to prevent mechanical strain.

Recommendations

Use this 3 m SFP+ direct-attach cable for short, high-bandwidth interconnects where a simple, low-latency electrical link is sufficient. Avoid using it for distances beyond its intended short-range application and choose optical transceivers and fibre cabling for longer runs or when isolation from electrical interference is required.
