SFP+ Direct Attach kabel CBO 470-AAGP-BL 3 m samec-samec 10 Gbit/s

The SFP+ Direct-Attach Cable CBO 470-AAGP-BL 3m Male-to-Male 10 Gbit/s is a fixed, copper twinax assembly with SFP+ male connectors on both ends, designed for short-reach high-speed links between rack-mounted network devices. With a 3 meter length and support for 10 Gbit/s data rates, this BlueOptics cable provides a compact, low-latency connection suitable for direct connections between switches, servers and network interface cards in data centres and server rooms.

Advantages

This direct-attach SFP+ cable offers a cost-effective alternative to optical transceivers for short distances, reducing power consumption and eliminating the need for separate transceivers and patch cords. The integrated male-to-male SFP+ connectors ensure plug-and-play installation and stable electrical performance at 10 Gbit/s. Its compact twinax construction minimizes rack cabling bulk and supports low-latency links, making it suitable for high-density environments.

Suitable for

• Direct connections between network switches within a rack or adjacent racks
• Server-to-switch links in data centres and server rooms
• High-speed uplinks between NICs and top-of-rack switches
• Short-range point-to-point interconnects where 10 Gbit/s is required

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP+ male to SFP+ male
• Length: 3 metres
• Data rate: up to 10 Gbit/s
• Cable type: copper twinax direct-attach
• Typical use: short-range, direct-attach connections suitable for rack-mounted equipment
• Latency: low electrical latency appropriate for high-performance links

How to use

Insert each SFP+ male connector into the corresponding SFP+ port of the devices being linked until the latch engages. Verify that both devices detect the 10 Gbit/s link and configure interface settings on the switch or server as required. Ensure the cable routing avoids tight bends and mechanical strain; the cable is intended for short-range connections within racks or between adjacent racks. No additional transceivers are required when using this direct-attach cable.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use the cable within the recommended 3 metre distance and avoid sharp bends or crushing. Confirm compatibility with device SFP+ ports and firmware; while the cable is designed for standard SFP+ ports, interoperability checks in lab or staging environments are advised before large-scale deployments.
