BlueOptics QSFP-AOC-7M-LO-BO InfiniBand optický kabel 7m samec/samec

The BlueOptics QSFP-AOC-7M-LO-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 7m Male/Male is a 7-metre active optical cable engineered for high-throughput, low-latency links between InfiniBand-enabled devices. Featuring QSFP form-factor male connectors on both ends, this cable supports the bandwidth and signal integrity requirements of data-centre and high-performance computing interconnects while offering the flexibility of a single, factory-terminated optical link. Its construction is intended to provide stable transmission over seven metres with reduced electromagnetic interference compared to copper alternatives.

Advantages

The QSFP-AOC-7M-LO-BO provides high data-rate performance with improved thermal and signal stability due to its active optical design. Its male QSFP connectors allow straightforward plug-and-play installation in compatible transceiver ports without additional modules. The 7-metre length covers common rack-to-rack and within-rack connection scenarios, while the optical medium reduces crosstalk and susceptibility to electrical noise. The cable's factory-terminated assembly removes the need for on-site splicing or connector polishing.

Suitable for

• Rack-to-rack and within-rack interconnects in data centres
• High-performance computing (HPC) clusters and InfiniBand fabrics
• Low-latency storage networks and server-to-switch links
• Environments requiring reduced EMI and stable long-distance links within a single room or cabinet

Key specifications

• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC)
• Connector type: QSFP male to QSFP male
• Length: 7 metres
• Application: InfiniBand high-speed interconnects
• Transmission medium: Fibre optic (optical link)
• Typical benefits: Low latency, high bandwidth, immunity to electromagnetic interference

How to use

Install the BlueOptics QSFP-AOC-7M-LO-BO by inserting each QSFP male connector into the corresponding QSFP port on your networking devices until the latch engages. Ensure both ports support InfiniBand and the active optical cable form-factor. Route the cable to avoid tight bends; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius and secure the cable to prevent strain on the connectors. After connecting, verify link status and data-rate negotiation in your device management interface.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, avoid kinking or crushing the cable and keep it away from high-heat sources. Use this 7 m QSFP AOC for short to medium-length optical links inside racks or between adjacent racks. Confirm compatibility with your InfiniBand switches and host adapters before deployment and consult system firmware or driver requirements to ensure full bandwidth and low-latency performance.
