BlueOptics QSFP-AOC-7M-CP-BO InfiniBand optický kabel 7 m samec/samec

The BlueOptics QSFP-AOC-7M-CP-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 7m Male/Male is a 7-metre active optical cable with QSFP connectors on both ends, developed for high-speed InfiniBand links. It provides a single, pre-terminated optical connection intended for low-latency, high-bandwidth environments such as data centres, high-performance computing clusters and enterprise switching racks. The cable's male-to-male QSFP interface supports straightforward insertion into compatible QSFP ports and reduces the need for additional transceivers or patch panels.

Advantages

This QSFP active optical cable combines the signal integrity of fibre optics with the convenience of a plug-and-play QSFP connection, delivering stable high-speed transmission over a 7 m reach. The all-in-one cable assembly reduces connector loss and eliminates the need for separate SFP/QSFP transceivers, which helps simplify rack cabling and lowers overall system power consumption. Its construction is designed for consistent performance in densely cabled environments while maintaining a compact form factor for routing in constrained spaces.

Suitable for

• InfiniBand host-channel adapters (HCA) and switches requiring QSFP connections
• Short to medium distance links within data centres and server rooms
• High-performance computing (HPC) clusters and storage area networks (SAN)
• Top-of-rack and aggregation switch interconnects

Key specifications

• Connector type: QSFP male on both ends
• Cable type: active optical cable (AOC)
• Length: 7 metres
• Application: InfiniBand high-speed data links
• Form factor: compact, pre-terminated assembly for direct port-to-port connection

How to use

Install the cable by aligning each QSFP male connector with the corresponding QSFP port and inserting until the connector latching mechanism engages. Ensure both devices are powered down or that hot-swap policies of the equipment permit live insertion to avoid unintended link negotiations. Verify link status through the host or switch management interface and confirm expected data rates and lanes are negotiated. Route and secure the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical strain over the full 7 m length.

Recommendations

Use this BlueOptics QSFP active optical cable in environments where a direct QSFP-to-QSFP connection reduces equipment complexity. Maintain minimum bend radii recommended for optical assemblies, avoid repeated flexing near connector ends, and confirm compatibility with device QSFP port firmware and lane configurations before deployment.
