BlueOptics QSFP-40G-AOC-7M-BO InfiniBand/optický kabel 7 m samec/samec

The BlueOptics QSFP-40G-AOC-7M-BO InfiniBand/fibre optic cable 7m Male/Male is a 7-metre active optical cable (AOC) with QSFP connectors on both ends. Designed for high-speed interconnects, it supports 40G data transfer over multimode fiber and is intended for use in data centres and networking racks where low latency and reliable short-reach connections are required. The cable integrates optical transmitters and receivers within the QSFP housings to simplify installation and maintain consistent signal integrity over the 7 m reach.

Advantages

This BlueOptics AOC provides 40G connectivity with reduced electromagnetic interference compared to copper alternatives, while eliminating the need for separate transceivers and fiber patch cords. The integrated transceiver design and standardized QSFP form factor ensure compatibility with equipment that supports QSFP-based 40GBASE-SR4 or equivalent protocols. The fixed-length 7 m assembly offers predictable loss characteristics and straightforward cable management in dense rack environments.

How to use

Install the BlueOptics QSFP-40G-AOC-7M-BO by inserting each QSFP connector into the appropriate QSFP port on your network devices, ensuring the module latches engage. Verify that connected devices support 40G QSFP AOC modules and that firmware or port settings allow 40G operation. After connection, check link status indicators and device logs to confirm the link is active and operating at the expected speed. No separate SFP/QSFP transceivers or additional fiber patching is required.

Recommendations

Use this 7 m AOC for short-reach 40G links within racks and between adjacent racks; avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress on the cable body, follow device manufacturer guidance for hot-plugging, and ensure compatible QSFP ports and firmware are in place for stable operation.
