BlueOptics QSFP-40G-AOC-3M-BO InfiniBand optický kabel 3 m samec/samec

The BlueOptics QSFP-40G-AOC-3M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 3-meter active optical cable (AOC) with QSFP connectors on both ends designed for high-speed short-reach links. It implements QSFP to QSFP connectivity and supports 40 Gbit/s aggregated bandwidth over multimode optical channels. The cable integrates optical transmitters and receivers in the QSFP housings and is intended for use in data center and networking environments where low latency and high throughput are required for server, switch and storage interconnects.

Advantages

The cable delivers native 40G connectivity using a compact QSFP form factor compatible with MSA-compliant QSFP ports. As an active optical cable, it provides electrical isolation and reduced electromagnetic interference compared with copper direct-attach solutions while enabling longer reach at low power consumption for short-distance links. The integrated transceivers eliminate the need for separate SFP/QSFP modules and patch cords, simplifying installation and reducing points of failure.

How to use

Ensure both devices have compatible QSFP ports that support 40G AOC connections. Power down or follow live-insertion procedures recommended by your hardware vendor, then insert one QSFP connector into each device until the latch engages. Verify link status through the device management interface or LED indicators. No separate transceiver installation or fiber patching is required; cable management and gentle bend radii should be observed to avoid fiber stress.

Recommendations

To maintain reliable performance, route the cable with appropriate bend radius, avoid tight kinks, and secure it to prevent strain on connectors. Confirm compatibility with the target switch or server firmware and platform; when using across different vendor equipment, test link operation in a controlled environment before large-scale deployment.
