BlueOptics AOC-SFP28-CABLE-15M-BO InfiniBand/optický kabel 15m SFP28 samec/samec

The BlueOptics AOC-SFP28-CABLE-15M-BO is a 15-meter active optical cable designed for high-speed data transmission in modern network infrastructures. Equipped with SFP28 male connectors at both ends, this fibre optic cable supports low-latency, high-bandwidth links suitable for demanding environments such as data centers and high-performance computing clusters. The cable’s active optical design converts electrical signals to optical signals and back, enabling reliable connections over a longer reach than passive copper alternatives while maintaining signal integrity.

Advantages

This active optical cable delivers 25 Gbps-class connectivity with stable signal quality and reduced electromagnetic interference compared with copper cabling. Its SFP28 form factor ensures broad compatibility with switches, routers and network interface cards that accept SFP28 transceivers. The 15 m length provides flexibility for rack-to-rack connections without intermediate transceivers, and the fibre construction contributes to lower attenuation and better performance over distance.

Suitable for

• Data center interconnects and rack-to-rack links
• High-performance computing clusters and storage area networks
• Low-latency trading or real-time processing environments
• Switch-to-server connections requiring SFP28 ports

Key specifications

• Type: Active optical cable with SFP28 male connectors on both ends
• Length: 15 meters
• Supported data rate: up to 25 Gbps per lane (SFP28 class performance)
• Connector form factor: SFP28 compatible
• Signal medium: multimode optical link with active conversion electronics
• Typical use: short- to mid-range high-speed links within racks and between adjacent racks

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on your networking devices until the retention latch engages. Ensure both devices are powered down or that hot-swap policies for your hardware are followed according to the equipment manufacturer. After installation, verify link status and configuration on the connected devices and adjust speed/duplex or auto-negotiation settings as required. Handle the cable by the connector housings and avoid tight bends or excessive pulling to preserve optical performance.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, route the cable to minimize sharp bends and avoid sources of mechanical stress. Confirm compatibility with your switch or host adapter firmware and configure host interfaces to use the SFP28 link settings. Use this active optical cable for rack-to-rack connections where electromagnetic immunity and low latency are priorities.
