ACT Optický panel 24 x duplex SC Singlemode OS2

The ACT Fiber panel 24 x duplex SC singlemode OS2 is a rack-mountable patch panel designed to terminate and manage singlemode fiber connections in structured cabling systems. It provides 24 duplex SC ports using OS2 singlemode fiber standards, housed in a compact black enclosure with an overall width of 482 mm and a height of 255 mm to fit standard 19-inch rack installations while optimising space for dense network installations. The panel supports high-speed data transmission and offers a tidy, accessible front for connection and patching work.

Advantages

The panel combines a compact form factor with clearly labelled duplex SC ports for simplified identification and maintenance. Its black finish and standard rack width make it compatible with common network cabinets and racks. Designed for singlemode OS2 fibre, it supports long-distance, low-loss links suitable for backbone and campus networks. The front-mounted connectors allow convenient access for patching and testing without disturbing rear cabling.

Key specifications

How to use

Install the panel into a standard 19-inch rack or cabinet using appropriate mounting hardware. Route singlemode OS2 fiber cables to the rear of the panel and terminate or connect using compatible pigtails or adapters. Use duplex SC patch cords to connect devices or splice points to the front ports for operational links. Label ports as required to maintain an organised patching scheme and verify connections with optical test equipment such as an OTDR or power meter.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use OS2-rated singlemode patch cords and maintain proper bend radius for all fiber runs. Keep front-panel connectors covered when not in use to reduce contamination and perform periodic inspection and cleaning with recommended fiber cleaning tools.
