Patchkord Extralink LC/UPC-LC/UPC multimode OM3 duplex 3mm 1m

Patchcord Extralink LC/UPC-LC/UPC Multi Mode OM3 Duplex 3mm 1m is a 1‑metre multimode OM3 duplex fibre patchcord with LC/UPC connectors on both ends and a 3.0 mm cable diameter. This cable is suitable for connecting optical network equipment such as switches, media converters and FTTH devices, providing full‑duplex links for short‑reach high‑speed data transmission in LANs and data centers.

Advantages

The Extralink OM3 duplex patchcord offers standardized LC/UPC terminations for reliable low‑loss connections, a compact 3.0 mm jacket for ease of routing in patch panels and trays, and multimode OM3 fibre optimized for 10 Gbit/s and short‑reach multimode links. The pre‑terminated design reduces installation time and helps maintain consistent link performance.

Suitable for

• FTTH connections between OLT and ONU/ONT devices
• Patch panels and fibre distribution frames in data centers
• Interconnects between switches and media converters
• Short‑reach multimode links in local area networks

Key specifications

• Connector type: LC/UPC – LC/UPC (duplex)
• Fibre type: Multimode OM3
• Length: 1 m
• Cable diameter: 3.0 mm
• Brand: Extralink
• MPN: EX.10284

How to use

Verify that both ends are clean and free of dust before insertion. Plug the LC connectors into the corresponding LC/UPC ports on the networking equipment, ensuring correct alignment of the duplex pair. Route the 3 mm cable through cable management to avoid sharp bends and stress on the connectors. Perform an optical link test if required to confirm attenuation and connectivity.

Recommendations

For best performance, keep connector endfaces clean using appropriate fibre cleaning tools and avoid bending the cable beyond its minimum bend radius. Use this OM3 patchcord for short‑reach multimode links up to the distances supported by OM3 specifications and test the link after installation to verify signal loss.
